千歳川の上流とその支流の内別川では、8月中にサケの産卵が見られるので毎年記録を撮りに行きます。「8月もサケが遡上するなんて、千歳のサケは遺伝子の多様性がすごいな」と感じることができるからです。今季は、その姿をとらえたのは、8月30日でした。
In the upper reaches of Chitose River and its tributary, Naibetsu River, Chum Salmon spawning can be seen in August. It's from genetic diversity.
The water temperature of the main stream of Chitose River is around 20 degrees. But in Naibetsu River, 10 degrees because of spring water.
